April 8, 2009 : Lunch

So today I feel like I'm always just one step behind. I got a phone call at around noon saying my glasses (that I bought to play football in) were ready. How exciting is that?!

I should write something here, but it's a busy day and Mrs. Awesomebutt is talking to me on AIM, so that's all you get!

April 8, 2009 : Breakfast

Bet you can't guess what I'm eating!

I'm so very excited because this weekend a couple of so very exciting things are going to be happening.

1.) One of my best friends in the world, and Mr. Creative Genius, himself, PETE, is not only moving back to Portland from San Francisco, he is also moving into one of our open offices here at work. Look for a special Pete cameo in this blog.

2.) I'm driving up to Seattle to watch the Majestics game, partially because my team is playing against the Majestics on the 18th and also because...

3.) Mrs. Awesomebutt is working at the ballet in Seattle for the next 2 weeks and I miss her like crazy! Yay! I get so see her! Yeah!

So there. That's all.

April 7, 2009 : Lunch

After discussing this with the two of you who actually read this, I have decided to ONLY post videos... at least for the time being.

So I have completely changed most of my diet since last posting here. Mostly because my stomach is a medical wonder and I have the intestines of a chicken. So on football practice days (much like today), it's all about hydration and vitamins. I'm eating sushi, a banana, and anything else that isn't deep fat fried. My coworker, Frank, gave me this weightlifter powdered thing, but I'm a a little afraid of it because one of its side effects is elevated blood pressure, and my blood pressure is high enough, thank you very much. So instead I'm sticking to the natural stuff from Trader Joe's.

Trader Joe's: the unofficial sponsor of this blog.

April 7, 2009 : Breakfast

I'm back! Josi, you can end your candlelight vigil!

Thanks to my bestest pal, Kate, who got this webcam for Christmas but doesn't need it, I have re-instated this blog. But until I can figure out how to "set the timer" on the webcam, I am going to post videos of me eating.

How exciting is that?!

Bet you can't guess what I'm eating!

We now pause for station identification...

My #1 Commenter, originally uploaded by aimeeg.

Hi! Yeah, my webcam is still broken! Yeah!

I also am recovering from the black plague of 2009! I swear... with all of the body aches and pains, I was expecting to wake up really muscle-ey or 6 inches taller or something. Oh well...

Above is a photo of me and my #1 commenter, Josi Jo. Josi is one of my teammates on the Portland Shockwave (although she's taking this year off to pop out a baby) and is all-around awesome in every way. I just wanted to give big props to Josi because she has commented on every single post -AND- this photo makes me look 100 pounds smaller than I actually am. Then again, that photo was taken at the end of last season, so I was probably remarkably smaller then than I am now. Hm...

Webcam still down. I have feelings about this.

Hi. Webcam still looks like this:

So I like to pretend that my grocery shopping habits can completely throw off a store's inventory. Mostly because I tend to get into phases of consuming, and usually I consume things that most people don't buy. So, for example, when I was in a Corn Nuts phase, it was only a week or two before my local convenience store ran out of Corn Nuts and it took them awhile to stock them back up. And when they stocked up the Corn Nuts, they had a special display and Corn Nuts sale. Unfortunately, by the time they had re-stocked their Corn Nuts and made the special sale, my Corn Nuts phase was over.

It sounds ridiculous, but that wasn't the first time that sort of thing happened (although it happened with other products: Skittles, Fierce Grape Gatorade, basically anything I buy a lot of within a short period of time.)

I went to Trader Joe's yesterday to stock up on my everyday breakfast/lunch supplies, because I am in the middle of a very long Frosted Mini Wheats for breakfast/Brie and sushi for lunch phase. And wouldn't you know it, they were out of Frosted Mini Wheats. Now, I am not going to take responsibility for this, because I only buy two boxes of cereal a week from Trader Joe's, but that also meant that I had to find a new cereal for the week.

I chose these what pockets filled with Chocolate. It tastes like candy. I don't know if I like that or not.

So you may have noticed that nothing has happened in the past couple of weeks. I believe Josi is even holding a candlelight vigil waiting for the return of this blog.

The truth is that I moved into my new office. For the first week, I was trying to figure out how to make my user account an administrator on this computer, because it wasn’t allowing me to install any programs. Blessing in disguise, I guess. I got a lot done that week.

Last week I finally had the webcam up and running, only to find that it is an utterly useless piece of crap. Bad quality. Bad bad bad everything. So back to square one, I guess. I will maybe just do this from my desk at home for awhile? I don’t know. Hm. Anyway…

Since I can’t take a photo of what I am eating, let me tell you what I’m thinking as I eat my lunch today. How’s that for a compromise?

I’m thinking, “Well lah deed ah, Miss Brie and sushi. Lah deed ah.”

Thank you for your patience. The webcam I bought for my new computer is totally a piece of crap. Case in point:

Now, you may be thinking, “Geez, Aimee. It’s not that bad.”

As a graphic designer, let me just say, “Oh yes, my friend, it is.”
