A webcam-less lunch...

Today I didn't eat lunch at my desk. *Gasp* I know!

I had a lunch meeting with some photographers who want to design a book I'm working on. They should know that if they really want us to hire them, I make all of my decisions with my stomach. And my stomach likes pizza.

I guess that's why we decided to work with them, then, because there was pizza.

Oh yes, there was pizza. (Sure, it was the hippie fancy pizza, but it was still pizza nevertheless.)

OK, so let me let you in on a little joke. I originally started this blog because I mainly only eat one thing at my desk: Frosted Mini Wheats. So I thought, "Hah hah hah... I'll start a blog where there are only photos of me eating cereal. That'll be hilarious."

Yeah, I know my idea of "hilarious" is a little warped.

But then I ran out of Frosted Mini Wheats and I left the soy milk out so it went bad and then I didn't have time to go to the store until yesterday.

So now let me officially start this joke.

And yes, it's a 2-post lunch! Hee-yah!

I just wanted to say a few words about sushi. Now, normally, I am a "real crab" kind of a girl, and not a "fluorescent pink krab" kind of a girl. Krab tastes nothing like the sea. But lately I have really started enjoying Trader Joe's California rolls, in spite of the Krab.

I am kind of a, how you say, sushi snob. That's not to say that I can't roll up my sleeves and belly up to the bar at Sushi T, but if I have the money, I'm going to get the good stuff. Right now, alas, I do not have the money. And so Krab it is!

Also, this special sushi-themed post includes a special shout-out to Mrs. Awesomebutt, who is feeling not-so-awesome today. But not because of sushi because she hates it.

Oh brie... if I could marry you, I would.

This is actually one of my favorite lunches (brie & crackers & sushi, oh my!), but it involves me going to Trader Joe's and I'm usually much too lazy to get out of my truck.

Let me also just say for the record that it is freaking HOT in my office right now. I wore 17 layers because it's usually sub-arctic in here, but now I'm down to my last layer! Woe is me!

Also, here are answers to Josi, since I still can't figure out how to comment (and believe me, I've tried).

1. Subway wraps = not bad, but not good, either.
2. Minnesotans don't need cross-country skis to travel through the snow. Our feet are wide and flat like snowshoes... perfect for traversing the winter snow.
3. So my palm reading shows that I am super awesome in every way?
4. My friend is the tall dark-haired guy in the back. We were inseperable our freshman year of college (until I turned into an a-hole, that is).
5. Anything in nugget form contains crack.

Also, is anyone else reading this? Are you having trouble leaving comments like me? Let me know!

D'oh!

OK, so I cannot for the life of me figure out how to leave a comment on my own blog. Josi, I am not ignoring you, I swear!

So the truth is, when I'm at my desk, I really hate eating. Today I am eating cereal bars, which I like, because they don't involve any sort of effort. That's why I eat so much fast food. It's fast and it's cheap. If I could find something fast and cheap that was also healthy... well... it would depend on what that was. Because Chicken McNuggets are made of crack.

Basically anything in nugget form is made of crack. Just so you know. That chicken paste that they form into nuggets? They add a little bit of crack to the goo. It's true! I saw it on Reading Rainbow!

Speaking of Reading Rainbow, an old friend of mine from college is now a fancy pants TV star, and he recently did a thing on The Soup the other day, and LeVar Burton was, for some inexplicable reason, just hanging around and joined in on the fun.

I love LeVar Burton.

Hey, look at that! I eat at my desk at home, too!

To be fair, my desk is kind of like my home base here. Not only is it the home of my laptop full of weird things I download to watch, it also has my xbox, my TV, my MP3 player, and it's all 2 feet from my bed! Maybe I'll let you see what it looks like AROUND my desk someday... but not today.

So I'm eating left-over pizza. In all honesty, this is really good pizza. I made it myself with my own two hands. Blood, sweat, and tears have gone into the best pizza ever.

But now you may be thinking, "Aimee, you say you're eating pizza, but the photo is of you eating with a fork!"

"Aha! Intrepid reader of this blog," I would say, "only cretins eat pizza with their hands."

Since we're on the subject of pizza, and I eat it almost exclusively, let me take this time to share with you something that some people find odd. My girlfriend saw me do it for the first time the other day and I think my stock went down a few points. So let's just get it out there...

I eat the toppings separately, with a fork, before I eat the naked crust.

There, I said it!

Ooh... Journey montage on American Idol! Don't stop believin'.
